Have you ever wanted to gain a single, comprehensive understanding of Jesus’ life? The Bible For Critical Thinkers is exactly that. Without digging into complex and esoteric theology, the Rev. Mark Flynn looks at Jesus’ teachings, ministry, and relationships.

Although the material has been adapted from our previous iStudy materials, this seven-week study will be offered in a completely new way. Through a weekly video, available anytime, Rev. Flynn will guide participants in how to approach the daily Bible readings found in the free study booklet. Then, students will have two live discussion options.

On Monday evenings, beginning October 25, an online class, led by Rev. Flynn, will meet from 8-9 p.m. Put the children to bed, pour yourself a glass of wine, find your notes from the week’s readings, and enjoy a conversation about the Bible and theology that does not ask you to set your brain aside.

Or, if you prefer an in-person conversation, join Rev. Flynn on Wednesday mornings at church from 10-11 a.m., beginning October 27.

We’re developing online versions of our Bible studies and other resources. Here’s how you can join our studies.

Why We Worship As We Do

Beginning in January, Rev. Mark Flynn and Rev. Seth O’Kegley-Gibson will co-lead a seven-week study entitled “Why We Worship As We Do.” Each week, they will facilitate a conversation about one or more of our current worship practices through the lens of scripture, tradition, and reason, and experience.
