Treble Choir- Suspended During Pandemic

The Treble Choir is composed of students grades Pre-K through 6th grade. This group rehearses on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00 pm, in the Music Room. Choristers learn the fundamentals of music, share in fellowship, learn lessons from the Bible and other church foundations, and share in the ministry of worship together. The Treble Choir sings on Sunday several times throughout the year, either in contemporary worship or the traditional service. They participate in the large Christmas concerts in December.


Parish Adult Choir

The Parish Adult Choir of FUMC Oak Ridge is the primary worship choir for the church’s 11 a.m. Sunday worship service. Comprised of over 30 members representing young adults to senior adults, the central goal of the choir is to worship God with its musical offerings. The choir participates in an annual Christmas concert with orchestra that is regarded as one of the finest in the area. Additionally, they have presented several major choral works with orchestra through the years. The Parish Adult Choir rehearses weekly on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Music Room. All are invited to join!

They have appeared before the Holston Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church on several occasions, as well as the Tennessee American Choral Director’s Association, the Washington National Cathedral and the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. The choir has commissioned anthems by American composers David L. Brunner, Austin Lovelace, Alfred Fedak and Alice Parker. The members of the choir enjoy social activities which strengthen their bonds of friendship and fellowship in Jesus Christ.
