Each year at Christmas time, a group of volunteers visits the homebound members of our congregation, taking them a gift of flowers. Last year, we could not continue this caring tradition, and we are so excited to be reviving this ministry this holiday season. Many of our homebound were deeply involved in our church family for years, and it is very difficult for them not to actively participate in our worship services and programs.

This year these homebound visitations will take place over the weekend of December 17–19. Because the Christmas Shoppe will take place that Saturday, we are doing things a bit differently. Those visiting the homebound will gather on Friday, December 17 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel for a brief devotional and instructions. Visits can be made anytime that weekend. We ask all participants to wear a mask to protect our older members.

Please help spread some Christmas cheer and reach out to people who may be feeling isolated. To participate, please either sign up below or contact Betty Lou Alspaugh (alspaughbl@gmail.com) or Jenny Caughman (jcaughman@fumcor.org, 483-4357).
