The Panama mission team returned on Sunday after a nine-day trip. They served in two locations, one in the central highlands and another on the Caribbean coast. By the numbers, it was a very successful mission trip. The medical team treated over 550 patients, including many children. The vision team distributed 120 reading glasses. More importantly, according to our missionary hosts in the country, the team brought hope to the people that God and a “gringo” group cared about them.
Our mission team also found personal fulfillment through the experience of serving. The Panama countryside where we served was absolutely beautiful. The mission team included Jim Michel, Bob and Maxine Schultz, George and Tere Murchio, Jim and Liz Henry, Tommy Daugherty, Nawras Baban, Christina Shuey, Rachel Tate and her son Connor Wallace, and Brenda Jones.
